POWER ACTION FOR JOBS & OPPORTUNITY

Picture
Sunday, APR 21, 3-5 pm
Deliverance Evangelistic Church (2001 W. Lehigh Avenue)

Join Calvary and thousands of other Philadelphians for POWER's Citywide Action for Jobs & Opportunity. We've committed to bring 75 people; we are a small but vibrant community so we hope you'll plan to join us!

We're also working to get as many Philadelphians (you must be at least 18 and a current resident of the city) as possible to sign the Airport Jobs petition, demanding from Mayor Nutter and City Council a policy that makes airport development benefit Philadelphia residents - including JOBS (a hiring preference for unemployed and disadvantaged workers), TRAINING (programs to ensure that  people in our neighborhoods have the necessary skills) and OPPORTUNITY (living wage, health and retirement benefits and the right to organize).

Contact Beth Jemison to sign up for the action, or with any questions about POWER - and please also be sure to register on POWER's website.
