Book Studies

Picture
WINTER 2026
Jesus and the Disinherited (Howard Thurman)
Beginning week of January 12 (exact timing TBD by participants)

Join us for a five-week study* of Howard Thurman's classic, famously cited as the text that inspired Martin Luther King Jr. leading up to the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Thurman shows how the gospel should be read as a "manual of resistance for the poor and disenfranchised."

Contact Pastor Tim to sign up, or with any questions - or if you need financial assistance to purchase the book.

* in-person available if there's enough interest, otherwise virtual (via Zoom)
