ALWAYS LOVE YOU Concert (hosted by the Calvary Center for Culture & Community and Calvary Church) Inaugural Concert of the ALWAYS LOVE YOU Initiative Saturday, November 12, 4-6 pm 48th & Baltimore
A free, family-friendly musical event honoring the lives of children - calling attention to children and youth killed by firearms and assault weapons, and asserting their right to safe schools and safe play. If you believe that the civil rights of children will always supersede the right to own assault rifles, then join us in song to ban these weapons!
Masks are required for entry. Please use the 48th Street entrance (see accessibility details below).
The program will feature:
the Bismuth Quartet (string quartet);
original music with the "Always Love You" choir and guest soloists/musicians (including audience participation!)
discussion of gun safety with children, facilitated by Penn Medicine trauma surgeon, Dr. Shariq Syed Raza; and
images of the 21 murals in Uvalde, Texas - honoring the 19 children and two adults killed in late May at Robb Elementary School.
The event is free, but donations are encouraged to support Mothers in Charge.
ACCESSIBILITY: The Calvary building is wheelchair-accessible with a lift that takes guests from the ground level outside (the red door at the corner of 48th & Baltimore) up to the chapel, and down to restrooms. Please note that bathrooms are not currently ADA compliant.
The door at 48th & Baltimore requires a code, so if you're coming and require use of the lift, please email or call (215.724.1702) the Calvary office in advance of your visit so we can coordinate details.
